Science is comforting. For those of us who enjoy having the world around us explained through facts, figures, and proven theories, science is like a warm blanket protecting us from the cold uncertainties. However warm and fuzzy we may feel under that blanket of truth, the downside of science is that with every discovery, 100 new hypotheses pop out. Like when you lift a stone in the backyard and see 20 bugs scuttle back into the earth–you may be able to catch one or two, but some of those creepy crawlies will remain unknown.
